Light plywood

Your race, cut from wood.
Laser-cut plywood, engraved or printed in colour – designed with you.
Material
Our wooden medals are cut from plywood. Look at the edge and you can see the layers.
A pale face with the wood grain visible.
A dark version of the same plywood.
Shape and size
The laser cuts along your outline, so the medal can take any shape – at any size up to 10 × 10 cm.
Size, longest side
Circle70 × 70 mm
The round medal everyone knows from the finish line.
Teeth cut all the way round the edge.
Six straight sides with softened corners.
A crest outline for clubs and schools.
The edge follows the peaks of the design.
The sky is cut right out, so you can see through the medal.
Your own outline works too – a logo, a mascot, a number. Send us your shape →
Decoration
Pick a decoration and watch the medal change.
The laser burns your design into the surface, line by line. It comes out in a single tone made by the wood itself, with no ink.
Full colour printed straight onto the wood – a sky that fades from violet to amber, or a logo in several colours.
Colour areas from the printer, engraved lines for the detail. On this medal: a printed sky and sun, with engraved mountains, trees and runner.
You can combine them, and decorate both sides.
Ribbon, strap or cord
Through a slot cut in the medal, the classic way with an eyelet and a jump ring as on a metal medal, or through a small round hole.
How it is attached
What it hangs on
Whichever you pick, it is included in the medal price.
The laser cuts a slot near the top of the medal and the ribbon runs straight through it.
A small eyelet is cut as part of the outline and a jump ring links it to the ribbon.
A small round hole near the top, made for a leather strap or a jute cord looped through it.

You want your design engraved or printed in colour on flat plywood.
Cut from plywood instead of cast in metal – and your whole order travels in a lighter parcel.
Where they fit
From a muddy trail run to a school sports day – one medal for everyone who crosses the line.
Finishers come down from the ridge and take it home as a medal: the mountain, the forest and the trail.
One for every child at the finish, with your mascot or a big bright star on the front.
Your cause’s logo and colours on a medal every participant keeps, whatever their time.
Bike rides, hikes and obstacle courses – for a cycling day, a medal cut like a chainring.
Sports day, a club championship or the end of the season – your crest engraved on a shield.
A company run or a team day – your logo, cut in wood.

Yes, with UV colour print. Send your colours with the artwork – colour codes if you have them, or simply your logo.
Yes – send the logo as it is. We check fine details in the design proof. See the shapes →
Add a few words about your event. Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) help, but you don’t need them. See how it works →
It depends on the look and feel you want – the comparison shows both. Compare wood and metal →
Please do – names or numbers on each medal, samples, special packaging or a varnish, for example. These aren’t part of our standard offer, so we check each request with production and look for a solution with you.
